A Bit Tired

As Flo said to me just after 6 this evening and I couldn't agree more.

Just about managed to feel human by 11. Rosie dropped Flo off at 1 and we played in the garden for a bit and then went to the "party" in the park. Note quotation marks.

Actually it was pretty good. Flo manhandled dirty, broken toys being flogged off by the various church stalls declaring everything "mine" (I bought her a "rabbit" that looked like a Studio Ghibli character as it was about the cleanest thing there...turns out it's a Digimon!) .

A lady gave her a balloon (having called her a pretty boy), we bumped into a few neighbours and listened to a socialist choir (no dancing). I ate jerk chicken while Flo wasn't looking, she was too busy chucking stones into the stream with Mable (random child).

We watched a puppet show that ended with kids in the front row grabbing the puppets and chucking sticks at the puppet car (the theme was "the environment" naturally....truly lame, but Flo was transfixed and I couldn't help but join in with the audience participation). The puppeteer resorted to sticking some music on, hiding the puppets and sticking a bubble-machine on the "stage"....it was a truly awesome (or "orson" as Flo would say) piece of carnival...or party. Whatever.

She also reggae-marched (with waving hands) to a group of oat-based-clothing-wearing musicians playing penny-whistles, violins and a mandolin! I was laughing too hard to take a photo sorry.
And so to bed. Tomorrow I'm thinking we may go on a "bencha", weather permitting.

As I was saying...

Well, paraphrasing.

I'm an introvert...I've spent years thinking I was just a grumpy old fucker who didn't really care for other people. Except when I wanted to.

Do you know someone who needs hours alone every day? Who loves quiet conversations about [deleted] ideas, and can [amended] hold down a job and rock the fuck out, but seems awkward in groups and maladroit at small talk? Who has to be dragged to parties and then needs the rest of the day to recuperate? Who growls or scowls or grunts or winces when accosted with pleasantries by people who are just trying to be nice?

That's me.

Like probably everyone else in the world I'm normal cyclothymic too.

Me & themanwithnoname though...we're the only ones who really rock the fuck out! Well, we might anyway....

- Friday: Gig
- Saturday: Park Party (aka Party in the Poo (TM) Rosie) with Flo
- Sunday: A mystery trip? Perchance.....I now have payasyougo wheels!

So. I'm off to navel-gaze some more.

I mean, fretwank my guitar.

Flowers!

I appear to have developed a habit of writing posts and then not posting them....so far, that's one on depression and one on "why my daughter is the only person I love"....probably just as well really.

So. I did some decoratin'...but I've still come to the conclusion that she's the only one getting close to me ever again...and I'm cool with that.

I Dood It!

As the Flopsy One would say.

I bit the bullet (as Chidsy would say).

You twat (as Buck would reply).

You GEEK! (everybody else has said).

I bought one....oh yes I have. Strictly speaking, it's pre-ordered due to slightly more orders than they thought...But, I've entered sooperseekrit numbers, confirmed the deets and am afearing Customs Charges and delays due to too many other idiots.

The exchange rate is good right now though and let's face it, after all this time I should have a phone that I can hack the fuck out of!

I might fork-off (ooer) a blog with stuff on this, depends how good my skillz turn out to be...or whether I just bought an expensive "talking-point" paperweight (i.e. brick), and I just sheep along with people actually doing worthy things with it. Or shlep...I'm not sure.

I have plans though: Google's a target...all those lovely open API. Synch'd, editable documents publishable to the web Sir?....thanks! Google Maps overlays using the AGPS? Nice.

Lordy, there's a lot of core broken things in there which I am in no way qualified to submit even a comment on the code, but I do so love the prospect of writing something *I* (at least) find useful....

Think I need to look at Python too!

Daddy's Turn?

I declined....hey, would you like to drink a mixture of Banana Soy Milk, Apple Yoghurt and toddler spit?

Sweet!

Petition to remove two billboards
More than 1,200 people in Bristol have signed a petition calling for two billboards to be removed. The campaign, organised by St Werburghs Neighbourhood Association (St WNA) aims to replace the boards at Ashley Hill with a landscaped gateway to the area.

Tadah!...or not

Have/Had a great photo of Flo suprised while doing a "tadah!" to herself for spitting water from her cheeks using her hands...think bellows, you'll get the idea. Unfortunately, I'm stealing so many films all my internets are a bit slow. And for some reason [buck quote] it wouldn't be right if all your hardware worked first time [/quote]!

2 years!?

So. This blog is 2!

Happy Birthday Ma!

278th Post!

We had "Soupy Stoo" for dinner...as you can probably guess, it contained tomato products.
