Mode = Panic

Tuesday is looming. I could (if needed) have 12 free computers!!

All I did was ask!

Yesterday I picked up a parcel from Easton at 8, some gaffa tape from the hardware shop on the way back and then some cladding from "Geo. Jones" round the corner...fixed up some bits on Dr Roboto and then cleaned until heading out on the bike with Flo for an afternoon " sightseeing". She fell asleep at 4:30 and stayed that way until 6am Sunday morning.

Today? Today we went to the zoo....

I am so tired you get these in reverse (curse you blogspot uploader!!)

What is this woodlouse doing dad? He's squishy!
Long grass in my garden
Jelly at the zoo! "Take a picture of my jelly dad it's sooo delicious!"
Music comes on over tannoy: "I will run and dance for these people!"
"Why is the train not coming?"

If in doubt...

...ask the pilchards! This is something Rosie made me, and they always help me when I am feeling conflicted, down or doubtful. I ponder a question in their general direction and then choose a scroll...last night they sorted me right out (which, in itself, is fucking ironic).

Fear them! They are spookily good at sorting out your head, or indeed your life...

There's no point wanting something you just can't have, they suggested. Too right.

So. After a night of the strangest dreams Flo and I decided today would be a good day to go to the zoo. We were (of course) right.

Waiting for the Zoo Train....

"I like this structure...but...what are they doing over there, dad?"

Alright?

Flo wanted them to bite her hand for some reason...

Walk into the light my child!

We had a picnic on the grass and Flo treated about 50 people to an impromptu rendition of The Lion King ballet (toddler-style, slight return) once the music came over the P.A.

The monkey has just taken a swipe at the glass where a child was eating an apple...

And I forgot to post this the yesterday. Despite the seriousness of the expression she was very proud of the "bed with blanket and a guy in it"....not so sure about the wigwam thing though.

Peace.

Who'd a thunk it?

A "creationist zoo" can be fun!

On Saturday Ian and I took Ez and Flo to "Noah's Ark Farm Zoo Thing With Barns and Creationism". It was, quite frankly, better than Bristol Zoo! Ez's favourite is Gerald the Giraffe, while Flo (and I) liked the (incredibly noisy) Whooping Gibbons. Ian did most of the animal photography, while I captured some of the activity in the "Hay Barn".

It's a wicked day out as long as your anger lobes can handle things like the poster that compares the "Evolution of Transport" to the "Evolution of Life on Earth" (yeah, fuckheads that'll work!).

After a lot of running around getting hot and grumpy Ian dropped the girls and me back at mine. Ez wanted to stay for a bit, so after clearing it with Teh Mumma, I made it so. We had dinner and then she went home while Flo stayed the night.

At this point I would like you to compare the result of saying "You can eat your puddings any way you like!"

Esmae...

Flo...

On Sunday morning (after Flo went back to her mums) while cooking a huge pot of brocolli soup I could hear the strains of lump-hammer on concrete, industrious digging and children shrieking emanating from Rosie's place...rather than fill her tiny back garden with more bodies I offered to take the kids for the afternoon.

We had an awesome time in the park. I was a robot, the girls screamed and ran.

Then it was back to mine for some juice and a sit down. I tried to get them to watch Tron but there were too many questions! Flo fell asleep and I instructed Ez on the finer points of feeding Moshi and then we played some "music" (read: made hideous noises with guitar and piano).

Apologies to Bucky for not attending "Sacre Bleu"...you can post that video of me "dancing" now if you like dude. Heh.

Zoo Two

Zoo Membership came through, which essentially means we can go whenever we want for as long (or short) as we want...awesome!

Prairie Dawgs!

Meerkats are awesome!

Making sure the coast is clear!

We mainly visited the "tiny monkeys" (my personal favourite) and the butterfly house (one fo Flo's faves). Rosie's done her back in so I had Flo Sunday night as well, which pleased Flo...she woke up Monday morning shouting "I had 2 nights daddy!".
